c3 hardtop ?????
will a hardtop that was removed from a 69 vert fit on a 68 vert without changing anything. i am selling my hardtop and a guy that has a 68 wants to buy it and he asked me this same ??. not sure of the answer!!!!...ed

68-72 hard tops are inter-changeable. There is a tiny difference in trim. 69 up have a small piece of stainless steel trim (reinforcement) on each rear, lower corner of the top to protect those fiberglass corners of the top as you put the top on and off.

Starting sometime during mid-'69 the factory starting installing a third hold down bolt in the center of the trailing edge of the hard top with a corresponding third hole in the rear deck.
If the top you're selling has that center bolt, all the potential buyer has to do is drill out the rivets that hold the center bolt bracket in and he's good to go.
