Greetings,
My dash pad is in perfect shape with the exception of the molded-in driver side speaker grille which is ripped across several rows of the drilled out holes. Does anyone know of anyway to patch that up without having to remove/replace the dash pad? I don't care if it looks perfect but would like bond it up neatly.
Matching vinyl dye should be used...but if you just spray it, the dye will get to your speaker cone as well. That might be "no big deal", but you could also use a cloth wad to daub some dye on that surface without getting the spray on the speaker. Try that method out on a scrap piece of vinyl before you work on the dash, if you want to go that way.
