Default Another Dinosaurs revived!

Dormant for 35 years after being set aside right after the Jews kicked the crap out the Arabs and our first experience with gas prices going crazy and affecting the economy. Similar to what is occurring at the present with oil, enough of the soap box. Taken nearly all apart with the engine and transmission removed it was stored in my warehouse until last fall. This car was actually my Dads and he only got to put a little over 200 miles on it. Its present odometer reading is 28086. I put on all the rest up until I parked it. Which just maybe saved that 'ol 88as it needed a complete renewal from 28,000 hard miles. Block sanded smooth and repainted its OE Safari Yellow and with one of Al`s new black leather interiors installed, the L88 has finally roared back to life once again. About all thats left is to install another exhaust system and rear bumpers...

At this time I would like to thank some forum members for their valuable assistance in solving a couple of problems those dormant years created. ..

Before, ...

Now,....

Really nice looking car(s).
BTW is that a 67 RS Camaro in the back? I had one that looked just like that except it had a white stripe around the front nose. Otherwise it is a twin. Goes without saying but I wish I kept that one (had to sell it to pay for senior yr in college in 1972!).

Anyway - nice job - you should be proud

thank you,
but about the Camaro in the background, its the Corvette Bronze 68 in the middle with a l72, T 400 and factory air. The Black 67 on the left may interest you as its a original unrestored L78 Camaro. The Red 68 is a LS7 454 and T400. All 'SS' cars

Nice collection! Is it a real original L-88? Didn't see the decal on the console.
Back in 67, my mom was dating a pro baseball player with the Washington Senators, when Ted Williams was the manager, and he had a Camaro SS 396-375 4-speed, Taho Turquoise with a white stripe, black standard int. Fastest car I was ever in! He let me sit on the console (I was 10 at the time) and shift the gears and every time he nailed it I would go flying back between the seats to the back seat! What seat belts! I wonder where it is today and if it survived.

Thanks Wally for the trip down memory lane.
I'll say it again - awesome collection.
After I finish my 75 vette (full frame off mod), I may just have to find another 67 Camaro. Always thought that they were the coolest looking muscle cars for that year. The hideaway headlights make the front look so unique. And the 295hp/350ci with the 4 spd and no air was fast just out of the box. Of course I had to play with that and upgrade it
Txs again

Very cool there. Love them all and would love to hear that L88 roar back to life for the first time. Put some miles on that baby please.

Wally, your cars always make me drool. Good job on resurrecting that yellow L88.

IC,
The car looks terrific. It's always good to see one that's been renewed for more years of fun. I like the Yellow, it's period perfect for the car. The new yellows are great, but are so bright for an older car.
Regards,
Alan
