Default Another Engine Bay Question

Getting ready to start putting the engine bay back together and wondering what color to paint the heater blower box and the attached air conditioning box. I painted my firewall with Krylon semi-flat black. Should i paint the boxes the same color? I have seen some pics on this forum and the boxes look like they have a higher gloss than semi-flat. thanks for any advice

Use the same paint....otherwise it will look pieced together. I still think the semi-flat black is the best color/sheen match, other than using the exact factory paint formula.

Default Heat /AC Box

I bought a can of that spray on sound deadning/ truck bed liner,
and used that to insulate the Heater/Ac box,
hopefully to minmiize temp losses and sound trassmision.
sprayed several coats inside and out then reassembled everything.
you can't really fotice it once it is together, but I hope the end result helps ! 69Vett

I read a post in the NCRS TDB that the heater box was supposed to be natural Fiberglass like the tire tub. I'm assuming it's because it was installed after the thin coating of blackout paint was applied to the firewall. The heater box does have a higher sheen in its natural Fiberglass state.

I believe this to be true. When I clean the grunge off mine it was natural, no paint.

To finish it off, I ended up painting it Mar-Hyde black satin to match the engine bay.
