Getting ready to put the shark on the road. One last thing before I do. I'm being told that I need to get an allignment done so that my ride height will be even. This is a speed shop that supposedly knows their stuff telling me this. The projected price tag for teh allignment is $400. Does this seem a littel steep or is there more to alligning a vette that anything else on the road?
I paid $110 for my 4 wheel alignment at one of the top alignment shops in San Diego..and they discount subsequent alignments..it doesn't have anything to do with ride height...that is a function of springs,etc...
Did they give you a detailed estimate sheet with parts listed or anything ???

The only place that ride height can be easily changed is the rear (longer bolts). An alignment isn't going to do anything for it, though if your ride height has changed due to repairs or upgrades, your alignment will be a mess.
I took it to another shop and they seem to have it right. Ride height adjustment and then allignment $160.00
Bad news is looks like I have a spindle issue...too long with bad alignment
The money leak is hard to plug.
