Has anyone used the Corvette Engine Oil Additive, ZDD Plus™ from Ecklers? Never been a fan of additives but always looking for new products and if they work.
I spent 28 years in the Automotive Aftermartket with the country's largest distributor of auto parts and supplies and there is not an additive I would waste my money on. They are pure profit and do very little if anything to enhance engine performance or life. The companies that make these love to create the hype..............
Nothing wrong with a Zinc additive for flat tappet cams...one could argue once cam is "broke" in, you could go to Syn...but wear is wear, and I would not risk it..

IMHO.........
Shell Rotella T is the oil of choice since manufacturers have taken a lot of the additives out of our regular oil choices.
We've experienced cam failure on two new rebuilds and on a newly broken in motor after changing the oil after the breakin (with Penzoil 30 wt.).
Comp Cams recommended running 1/2 bottle of breakin additive per oil change on regular (non-synthetic, non-Rotella T) oil to compensate.
On our cars, do not use synthetic unless you're willing to accept the possible consiquences.
Like the man says, you pays your money and you takes your chances.
