Default Jack it up!

What is the best and the safest way to get an 82 front end off the ground and not taking the front plastic off the car in the process...on my old 79 I could use ramps...but the front end of a 79 is alot higher than an 82?..Tks..BW

You either have to get a very low profile racing style jack, or go in from the side.

Jack it side to side on the frame rails, use four jack stands.

if you lay a couple 2 by 6s on your ramps it should give you enough clearance.

I just used my floor jacks and raise it on each side a little at a time using stands in the process.

I did this when I change the transmission. We had it a lot higher in back so we could just slide everything out from the rear.

Good Luck!
