Well here is what happen I was grinding some raw fiberglass I had my mask, gloves, and glasses on but I forgot to cover my head. Now I itch like crazy it wouldn't be so bad but I shave my head . What i am asking is there a home fix for this?

It will go away in a day or two That's part of working with glass. Happens to the best of us. You are probably more sensitive to it than some.

White Vinegar will help lessen the itch, but i can't stand the smell of vinegar, so i tried apple juice, and it seemed to work.
You are going to think I am busting your cue ***** but I have some friends that install fiberglass shower stalls and sometimes the glass fibers get embeded in their forearms and itch like they are on fire.
Ok,, here is their secret home cure,, Duct Tape
I am sure you could sell tickets to this cure but I guess if you put it on and peel it off the tape acutally pulls the glass fibers out and relieves the itch. Might want to try it on a test area, mind you they do this on their arms not their heads. Would make an interesting video
When I first got married (19) my wife (19 also) washed my work pants in with a set of fiberglass drapes. Neither one of us knew then that that was a really bad thing to do. But after I got out of work (2nd shift) and before I drove home, I had those pants off and thrown in the back seat.
I still cringe thinking about how itchy I was all night and few days after.
Now that is funny, but I know exactly what you mean. A few years back I had a by pass opperation and my teenage daughter talked the visiting nurse into letting her pull out some of the staples. She thought it was a riot and this is Daddys little girl, Bang Zoom Alice.
You may want to just peel that tape as opposed to ripping it off.
Hey Ray,
Hope Valley is about a half hour south of Cranston. I used to do a lot of trout fishing down in Hope Valley years ago. Good old Wood River, favorite spot was down by the waterfall just down river from the ballfield. If you havent been before there is a huge Corvette car show down that way in early to mid August. It is in Charlestown, must be over 100 vettes there. You should check it out.

My 1st wife was 17, I was 18, she did exactly the same thing. Never did trust her with the laundry after that
something learned years later, Duct Tape works some at least
i have been doingbody work on vettes for over 10 years and before that it was boats ,the remedy i was told by 'old guys' is just drink milk it makes you imune to the itching even on 100 degree days when your sweating good i recenty told this to a customer that got a job in a factory that builds fiberglassparts for something she was going to quit then i told her this now she loves her job

Good Luck

Thats funny, I thought I was the only one to do the tape trick.... It does work.
Something else you can do is put a bar of soap in a pair of panty hose and stretch it tight over the soap. Hose will help draw the fiberglass out. Next time you work with fiberglass cover you skin with baby powder. Yes you look funny but it helps. I actually use anti-monkey butt powder that also has calamine lotion in it. Also set up a fan to blow the glass away from you. And last drink plenty of cold beer.
