You are going to think I am busting your cue ***** but I have some friends that install fiberglass shower stalls and sometimes the glass fibers get embeded in their forearms and itch like they are on fire.
Ok,, here is their secret home cure,, Duct Tape
I am sure you could sell tickets to this cure but I guess if you put it on and peel it off the tape acutally pulls the glass fibers out and relieves the itch. Might want to try it on a test area, mind you they do this on their arms not their heads. Would make an interesting video

Yes, duct tape will remove the fibers that you do not see. I have used this many times around vettes and aircraft.
I also found showering in cool/cold water helps, then apply and remove duct tape.
