your right, most guys want the best deal, the way you did 69 is with respect. i had one car listed on the internet and guys call and offer half and dont even look at the car. maybe its the times, money is tight
A call and a BS offer is what, 15 minutes? 30 at most? Be glad they didn't show up, drive, and then hit you with the BS.
It's a sad fact of the internet, but the connection to more people means everyone will see your ad, good or bad. They prbly just wanted to get a feel for how flexable your price is.
Some people would list a car for $30k, someone offers them $20k, and they sell for $25k. It's not unheard of, specially if the person is in a hurry for a sale like you seem to be.
Well, Kid, I do feel for you. I am very lucky, my wife is the one who got me into Vettes, and she is great about the cars. In fact she often tells me how glad she is that I am so into the hobby. I am not sure how much we have spent, or how much time I have devoted to the cars, but to me its worth every dime. When it does come time to sell, I just hope someone will buy these and love them as much as we have!
give her one to drive and i don.t mean just drive, regester and insure under her name its now hers then you can buy another ,your not in trouble any more it works for me
ss396 - "uneducated' I think fits. Some suburban schlub will buy a car some on here would part out, then spend a ton to make it ok.
Bad move. Lt-1 kid, its just the market. You only need one buyer.
And patience. Good luck.
Actually, I think it's possible "uneducated" applies to the SELLERS as opposed to the potential buyers who are being called names here. There are many people who do body offs or dump all kinds of ill-advised $ into a car and wonder why they can't sell the car for the $50k they have in them. News flash: if the market is $30k for a particular car in a certain condition, no amount of calling potential buyers "bottom feeders" will make anyone pay more. They would be foolish if they did. That's an education problem on the buyer's end.
