Default power window question

I locked myself out of my car today and called AAA. They put a wedge between the window and stuck a tool inside and opened the door. Later I discovered the driver's side (the side they unlocked) power window doesn't work. Any chance they damaged something. The passenger side works fine. When you hit the switch I notice the interior light dim a bit like there is power to the motor.

I don't think so, the wire is very low towards the bottom of the door, most likly a broken wire at the hing point, where the wires bend everytime the door is opened or closed.

Try pushing it down while you use the switch, it could be just stuck from the tweaking the AAA guy gave it.

I tried pushing down as I ran the switch ... no luck. I can't even see where the wires go through the door. :o

I guess I'll take it somewhere ...

I've got to believe something got dislodged or severed electrically with the slim-jim.

The door panel is pretty easy to remove and have a look around.

Getting the latch **** and lock ***** off are the tricky part.
