Two posts up from yours he states he bonded it and glassed it in

Yes, its bonded, bolted and glassed to the body. The paint stripe is actually about 1 1/2 to 2 inches behind where the seam would be.

That looks awesome . I also have a 76 with an 80-82 rear bumber on it. Mines currently white with a firethorne interior, and I've been debating about putting that paint scheme on for several years. If I go through with it, the colors will be reversed (white with a firethorne stipe).

Your a great inspiration. I might just have to give it a try next time I paint my car.

I typically am more a fan of the earlier C3's. Your car makes me a fan of the mid a later year cars as well. The car looks great. The red and white color scheme works incredibly well. It's classic muscle but modern and clean at the same time. I can't wait to see the hood on it. You nailed the stripe placement for the rear end. You are so right about how much an inch in one direction or the other can really change the whole look. You got it right. Nice job. Get more pics up when it's all together.

There's one around the corner from me with the 70's rubber rear bumper and it looks sharp too. I don't know the guy, and have only seen it out of his garage once or twice over the years. His is navy, with the white stripe. His DD seems to be a Trans Am GTA...

Looks good.

The Motion scheme will work great on 74-77 w/ stock rear bumper though done a little differently. Using a black stripe on red 74-77 Corvette (or different color stripe on a black car) the rear bumper parting line will "disappear".

Totally off topic: is that 17" rims you have there?

It is open in the front, I cut the center out of a new stock one. Going to make either a billet rod grill or a mesh stainlless or aluminum for it.

Can you post some pics of the front section you cut out? I am planning on doing something like that as well
