While the description of it being in good condition is wrong, it is irritating when people who have no intention of bidding just send messages saying your stuff is "broken and useless" (especially in all caps with words misspelled). The guy said, fine don't bid. What else do you want?
If someone is goofy enough to want a broken bezel, whatever. Ive listed a ton of worn out and replaced Corvette parts and someone always buys them. No reason for him not to list it.
I think if the item for sale is broken and the seller knows it's broken, he should state it's broken. period. I have bought a lot off ebay, and if something like that happend to me, I would be pissed too!
I am going to try fixing my broken original bezel which is now a spare. Looks like I can pop rivet a thin piece of metal on either side then use some epoxy glue. Think this will work.
Chris
I have had good luck either taping the part together on the good side or using crazy glue. On the back side use some light weight (10 oz) fiber glass cloth and lay up two good layers. Part should be good as new.

I would have bought it if the price was right, and it was not broken. I have two sets of gages in bazels that are broken.
just by looking at the part (which I did) it`s easy to see the part is broken, I recently sold one of those [I]broken[I] the same way on ebay, the bottom piece with the gauges went for $100 and the top with the wiper switch went for $40....of course come to think of it I also recently got a negative from a guy who asked if a part was original and if it had a part number cast on it, and when I said "I don`t know and I don`t see one" he bid anyway, won then cried.....I see stuff listed wrong every day...as a wise man once said "you can`t fix stupid"...why try?

Oh Baby!
There is a secret society of people who feel it's their duty to peruse and critique listings at will and then contact the seller like they are eBay employees, telling them what they need to correct in the listing.
If someone finds a listing that offends them or their California right to stick their nose in other people's business, click "Report This Listing" which appears in every single auction.
nothing personal Californians, but you guys do have too much to say about other peoples lives and what they can and can't do.
Why do you have that Helmet as your avatar? Are you sure thats a good idea in the current climate of steroid abuse, and exorbitant salaries paid to sports figures of questionable moral values? As a resident of California I really think its not something that you should have.
