i will be taking more pics saturday. i finished glassing the inside and rear of the speaker tubes. now i am finishing up with the sides behind the doors and the top section near the t- tops. this has been the hardest part so far. putting the glass on upside down over your head gets quite messy! the good news is all of the glass work is done in that area. one thing that i did learn from this is to make very small batches of resin and go heavier on the hardener for quicker set times. it will help keep the glass from falling. i had more than one goof that ended up on the driveway out in front of the shop that had to be hammered up once it dried. also wear a respirator when doing this. i left mine at home when doing the insides of the speaker tubes and it was a big mistake. now all i need to do is scuff and put on the duraglass and get a final shape this week end. we also added a little something to the back deck between the woofers at the top to add support and it turned out to make the whole design look ever better. i also have to bond and galss that too. once that is done the dash will be next, followed by the doors.

That looks great. Its a shame you have to put seats in front of all of that.

hope u plan on making a custom trim piece for the rear window.....

also curious why you molded it all into the car.....

and with the flexing of the car, hopefully you wont get any cracks...considering that there's no break points per panel/piece

there are break points at the top in the center, and in the rear to allow for the twist of the car. it should be enough. everything seems to flex very well so we will have to see. i dont think it will be a problem. once the rear window is reinstalled the trim will be added. the window fell out in the heat last year. lucky for me it didnt break.

Your work and design is definately sweet, but could you or someone else explain the use of such heavy material (board) or will that be removed once the piece is completed?

Will the dash assembly be removable? What would you do if you have repair issues behind the dash?

How many sq/ft of Fat Mat did you end up using to cover the interior?
