Default Ecklers - Never Night Headlight Kit - comments

http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?p...3&dept_id=1118

I'm looking at a headlight upgrade. Probably HID. The Ecklers kit says these headlights are Xenon , but doesn't say if they're HID. And if they 'are' HID - it doesn't say what color they are. Anyone try this kit and was it worth it ? Not sure I want to go to Fleabay.

No, those are not HID. Just housings, bulbs, and a harness.

It doesn't include any sort of ballast or any mention of 4500k, 5000k, etc. so like DB said - not HID.

Looks like a plug-in harness and H4/H1 (or four H4) lights...with the "Corvette Tax" applied. You can buy brand new Hella H4/H1 sets on eBay for around $210 for the four housings, and I think that's overpriced. I think I spent about $150 for mine, plus the upgraded bulbs, new sockets, and a bunch of wiring.
