Only the 68-72 Big block hoods and the 70-72 LT-1 hoods had the chrome inserts.
The L88 only came on the real L88s in 68-69 but a lot of us have added the hood just for the looks.

thanks, so the big blocks had the insert, the REAL L88's didn't.The lt1's also dont have the cowl, did i get that right?

I admire your drawing skills, and I don't hate you for cutting up that hood, but I personally don't like the curvy look of that bulge on that square car.

but it fits with the LS1 and T5 theam, and ive never seen one on a G-Body before,
