I thought the "mudflaps" came later.

Who knows? The "mud flaps" did not come until 1970 so there are some panel changes if it's a '69. I doubt it I think some mated a vin tag with and orphan.

I can't believe it's already at 4,550!

No motor or trans, VERY rough, wrong parts all over the place (hood, 68 Front clip,....). Pretty ragged!!

That car is absolute trash! No way is it worth $5K as it sits. The body may be "useable"; but I'd bet the frame is mostly rust.

it also says in the auction its a mild custom, so some one very well could have glassed the mudflaps in. seeing as the quarters on my 69 have been stripped of paint from pebbles and road debris, i wish my dad had glassed mud flaps in back in the 70s when he was working on it.

Having set outside in the weather all those years, I would have to look at the bird cage before I would bid. Say all you want about Americas sports car, but exposure to the elements like that will probably cause problems.

The marker lights are the smaller 68-69 size. I say someone glassed in some later year flaps. The question is why go through all that work and not put a flared fender on it? If you interested in the car run your hand around the inside of the fender to figure out where the new pieces meet with the original.
