spend a little more get a brand new one from summit with provision for roller cam & 1 pc rear main
there are still some lost in 1985 that think that 010 means something

I found out the problem of building up a 45 yr block first hand. My cyl wall cracked, it had a .030 bore and you could literally make out the water jackets outline. Whether it was a poor sand cast block, or the machinest had it off, we do not know. The engine builders are very leery of building these old blocks. By the time you get all the cleaning and inspections done, you may have a boat anchor. Better to start with a new block. Unless, you absolutely have to have that original engine.
