Default Throttle cable adapter?? Help!

Installed Holley on my ZZ4. Installed Bowtie TV cable and bracket for the 2004R. Included is throttle cable bracket, but its designed to use large square plastic "clip" connector.. See pictures..

Can anybody tell me where to get the square clip that holds the cable, and clips into the square hole in the bracket....OR, do I need to get an "updated" throttle cable?? Would like to use the original GM cable.

Thanks..

I'm not sure on the clip, but if you go with the new cable Lokar has a nice looking one. part # lokar TC-100HT at summit and it will bolt right in.

The later C 3 cable has the square type fitting on both ends. If you go that route you will have to change or fabricate the retainer at the firewall.

Shortest TC-1000HT I can find is 24". Is that what you used? Seems a little long.

You’ll only need about 1’ of the cable, but it’s easy to cut. It will come with all of the directions and they are easy to follow. If you do a search for lokar here in the forum there are several threads on what you need to do, but it’s pretty much a bolt in deal. It only took me about 20 minuets to install.

Went with Theiskell's recommendation and got the Lokar cable. Worked like a champ!

Had to use stainless fender washers to adapt to the Bowtie carb bracket and to close the hole in the firewall from the stock GM cable retainer. I may eventually change the carb-side stainless washers to a smaller size, but for now its what I had on hand. Now to finish hooking up the transmission shifter cable adapter kit from Bowtie...

Thought you guys would enjoy the pictures...Thanks for all the advice!

I’m glad you are happy with it. I will be going through the same thing in about a week. I’m waiting on my 200R4 to arrive from BTO.
