Default Need help with steering components on 1972

I bought a 72 Corvette awhile back and I noticed that some steering mechanisms are missing. This is my first Corvette, so I have no clue what parts I am needing. Please look at the pics and tell me what I all need here.

THANKS!

Heres a couple of pix to get you started...shows the various components in unrestored and restored views.

Hope this helps for starters.

As you can see from the posters pictures you need a steering box and a rag joint. I have both of them if you need them. The steering box is being rebuilt and the rag joint is used but in very good shape. It looks like the control valve is there but who knows what condition it is in and the PS lines should be replaced. I can't see but the power steering ram looks to be missing also.

You are not mssing them==but there is a lower steering column bearing kit--that by the looks of the column would probably need to be replaced.

Purchase the '72 assembly instruction manaul (AIM) and take a look at the stock set up. The steering box is missing on your car and possiblly some other necessities.

don't screw around with 60 year old technology. Go get a rack and pinion from VB&P and bolt it in. By the time you track down all the steering linkage and steering box and everthing else you'll need - you'd be far better off$$$ . I just did mine and I'd NEVER go back. It's like comparing power steering to manual.
