Has anyone seen the Barry Grant carb that is designed for the zz4
I think the PN is 1282010 vc
Is this carb really designed for the zz4,or is it just a stock carb that they are trying to sale as a custom
What carbs are you guys running with your zz4s I have a Holley 770 street adv
I have the Speed Demon ZZ4 carb on my car. The part number was 1282010CZZ4 when I bought it. It is basically a right out of the box and fire up installation. No problems with it except I just recently removed the electric choke as it is useless.
I have an Edelbrock 1411 750cfm square bore. Not real happy with it, either.

I tried an Edelbrock on my ZZ4 also and for some reason I had a terrible time with that carb. I've used Edelbrocks before with good success, but the ZZ4 just didn't like it. I ended up with a BG mech secondary ZZ4 carb. Took a bit of tuning due to my heads being ported and I have GM's hot cam in the engine now, but I'm pleased with the carb.
The only difference between the ZZ4 carb and other BG's is the tuning. They've adjusted some of the air bleads & orifices to tune their general purpose carb for the ZZ4 setup.
I have a Holley 830 with annular boosters, no electric choke. Started with a Holley 750DP - never dynoed, but the 830 made a real seat of the pants difference. It took a little carb tinkering to make it run right (jets, power valves, etc.) and I had to go to a MSD ignition system (pro billet distributor, 6AL box and blaster coil) to get enough "spark."
