Default kick panel courtesy light question

has anyone upgraded these little lights? was just wondering outside those that want orginality (which I'm in that camp most of the time) ...is there a slightly more outrageous option?

Personally, I never understood why there were lights down there anyway. I tried a few things, like LEDs instead of incandescents and finally I just pulled the bulbs out and installed a rear view mirror with map lights.

The map lights and overhead lights provide plenty of light, and I see no reason, after removing them, why anyone would need to see their feet when the door opens.

Come on now that’s mood lighting. I love those lights… That was the first thing I fixed on my car.

I’m not sure what you are looking for, but I found some lights advanced auto that worked great down there. They are not NCRS, but I think they look factory.

Those lights are so you can see how much water leaked into your car since the last time you drove it before you put your foot in there. They can also be used to see what animals are living in the car over the winter before you step on their nest and kill the babies.

Seriously, I do like the kick panel lights, they give a mice mood to the car. Maybe paint the bulbs blue or red or green to change the mood.

I like the idea of the map lights on the rear view mirror. i need to upgrade my C3's with that.
