I dont know what "Lost Motion" is but that looks like a POS parts car and isn't worth a darn. I will go look at if for you if you are interested though!!
Highly doubtful that this is one of the 5 missing GT's. Only one had the factory rear window (the rest had the slant back) and that one has been accounted for. Unless evidence of putting the factory window back IN is present, it's a cataloge car at best. With no vin tag or title your sunk anyway. The good news, looks like it'll need a frame AND birdcage so you just might get a vin on it yet. Sure would like to see the dealer code on the tank sticker better though. /:\

I HAVE 4 of the 5 missing motion cars, and they are all going on ebay next week!!!!!!Just kidding. These people amaze me w/the PURE BS they come up w/for their sales pitches!!!!
parkerracing..,..i commented here to ask you a question....I have seen you on here for a long time, and you know these old motion cars, race cars, etc.,and I am at a standstill trying to find some history on my 68 vert custom that is a org.BB car,and was raced(you can see where the roll bars were cut out).Any suggestions?I can trace the car back top the early 90s in Cali, and the work screams Cali, and the frame/birdcage screams Cali.
I have the president of the WSCC looking, and he is amazed that he drew a blank in his networking to help me.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.Have you seen it since I get the 6 dueces back on her????? Thanks!
The seller finds a "look-alike" car, manufactures a tank sticker with all the right items, and puts together a "Gee, I don't know what it is...." eBay sales pitch. Give me a break.... But, as P.T. Barnum used to say..."There's a sucker born every minute."...and some fool will spend good money on this piece of junk. Can you imagine someone finding a "real" Motion car with a "real" tank sticker and then selling it on the internet with all kinds of disclaimers in the description? NOT!!!
probably one of the most~honest Corvette ads I've read on there in a long, long time. good find bruthish
I really dig the seller's username; that pretty much summarizes his honesty
Actually its pretty interesting and the guy makes no claim that it is really a Motion car. Nice in a way. Its an interesting piece; one Old wheel one Buick and Poncho lights. If it was nearby I would make an offer of maybe $1000 .... who knows.... Most likely its a chopped up custom from the 70's great years in some ways .. I guess
I asked the seller if it had the baldwin dealer number on the tank sticker and this was his reply:
Hello, the dealer # is 502, and the zone # is 00. I've been told that 019 was baldwin. I think this car was a test vehicle because of the CHEV ENG OTR LAB DEV that's typed at the bottom of the t.s., when you go to the N.C.R.S. website and enter the 502(dealer) and 00(zone)in the dealer and zone search, the search comes up with only 1 '69, and the others it listed were all test cars. I have more pics on yenko.net(viscos) and Flickr.com(visIG88cos). Thanks, Vic.
I have no interest in this car but thought the reply was worth posting

If it was road raced back in the day, I would put a call in to Dick Guldstrand. He's a real car guy and will run up your phone bill talking old Corvettes. He may remember it if it still has some unique features from when it was raced. If it was a drag car, I'd try to find some NHRA types on the left coast who may have raced against the car. Old Car Craft Mags would be a good place to start. I'd like to see some pix of what it looks like now./:\
