What suspension do I have?
My 73 basket case project does not have the stock suspension on it. It has a fiberglass rear spring with adjustable strut? rods. Is there a way of figuring out the spring rate by measuring the thickness and the length of the spring? I have heard that fiberglass springs do not lose their springiness like a metal spring. Is that true?

I think the only way to get the spring rate from that spring is to find a make, model, and part number somewhere. I'm not sure about the loss due to wear because I don't think many have been on the cars as long as the leaf springs. I do know that cheap ones tend to crack.

Looks like a VB&P spring...which range from 300# to 420#...friend cracked one on his 78 last year...VB&P replaced it for him.
