Default Timing Question

Hi Everyone,
I am checking the timing on my 76 right now and I got 6 initial and 36 total (with vacuum advance connected) degrees advance. That would be good except I reached 36 at 2000 rpm. I also checked the centrifugal and maxed at 22.5 degrees advance also at 2000 rpm. The other thing is I cannot locate a distributor chart for my 1112905 distributor so I don't know if the centrifugal is where it should be. Does 2000 sound like a low rpm to anyone else (for centrifugal max advance and/or total advance)? If it is messed up is the centrifugal advance to blame?

oh yeah and the centrifugal starts at 9 degrees advance at 1000 rpm. so it seems to start out just fine.

Are you looking to set this up for a performance curve? If so, you want 36 degrees advance WITH the vacuum disconnected at 2,800-3,000 RPMs.
