Curious if anybody has had any experiences with Flaming River industries
in Ohio.....I am in need of a new steering box in '75 and they are advertising one for $459.00 12:1 ( maybe it's 16:1?) Found it in my Corvette Fever November 2002.......Are they still around?? Thanks
Thanks for the input......My steering has been tightened? just once too often I suspect, and the play won't leave....Right now my last mechanic adjusted something too much? and now when I turn either left or right it vibrates.....Will follow up on your advice. Thanks. Looking forward to tight steering. Shadz

A properly rebuilt GM Saginaw steering box is at least as good, and most probably, far far better than anything you will buy aftermarket. Get yours rebuilt correctly and it will be good to go for another 40 or 50 years.
Ordered a steering shaft for my '03 Silverado and it's been 3 months and I still don't have it... supposed to be here on Monday. We'll see. Good luck if you decide to purchase from them.

From who? I have my eye on a heavy replacement for the steering shaft on my '03 silverado (it has a 14 inch FTS lift and 40" tires on 20" wheels).
