Racoons will cause big problems too. At the gravel pit where I usually work, operator fired up a large Deere excavator today and ran it for several minutes before he noticed coolant running out. Found the fan and radiator totally destroyed and antifreeze soaked racoon guts all over the place. $7000 in parts alone. Glad I'm the Cat mechanic, the Deere mechanic is having a bad day.

Nothing wrong with posums. People need to get back to the fact that what made the posum made you too.

I live near a large park here in Long Beach. We even get skunks and coyotes. One coyote ate the neighbors cat last fall in my front yard. Fur all over the lawn

I live across the street from a regional park. Seen deer, foxes, skunks, raccoons, turkeys, but nothing in the car yet. Good thing I keep the windows rolled up

I think I would rather see a little possum than one of these critters rooting through my garbage!

Default pack rats on my farm.

Possums will do that but the true master is a pack rat. They don't believe you need your wiring or your spark plug wires either. My brother and I got rid of a ton and half 38 chevy truck one time that had been sitting for a while. Pulled it out to the road and a pack rat fell out from between the dual rear wheels. He had road a quarter mile inside that dual and when he fell out he was running around in circles from being dizzy. It was a funny sight to see. He was none the worse for it and finally wandered off. You can pull a car out to the farm and park it for 30 days and more than likely you will have new tenants.

Pack Rats suck! They will chew through anything they can in your car in one night! They are the reason I have braided stainless spark plug wires.

I call them "Country Rats" cause thats what they look like to me , a rat with different colored fur. I dont like 'em, weather for eatin' or just plain seeng them scurry about or playing dead. What I do enjoy seeing is a fox running in the early morning hours, puts me in mind of a kid running with a stolen hubcap Peace,,,Moosie

As a small lad I found a dead mother opossum, head crushed from a car, two very tiny babies were in her pouch. We took them home hand raised and fed them for months. Even though I "handled" them and fed them daily they never grew to like or even tolerate humans, probably a good survival strategy....they never got any cuter either

I had a snake get up into my engine bay once and I could never locate it but I knew it was there, so I took the car to the dealership and told the mechanic that the car was making a strange hissing noise…

He found the snake and told me about it…I just acted like I had no idea
