Default Stan & 2nd generation

Since I got back from AZ, I haven't been able to really take out my 68 corvette...MA is really nasty about needed stuff like back up lights and a horn, where AZ didn't really care.

You know the story...house, new kid...the car sat since I got the big 'R' on the windshield back in 05. I talked to Stan a couple weeks ago and he said to bring it down and we could see what we could do.

His shop is...well...a shop. INSIDE the shop however are various corvette and other goodies in various states of restoration. When I pulled up there was a guy wet sanding a hood...it looked like glass (which I guess it was )

He took me through, showed me all the cars and what was being done to them...each being resurrected until they made it to the paint booth. Over there I was amazed...these cars where just gorgeous, or where about to become gorgeous. It is amazing the work being done there.

We talked about each car, stan knew where each one was, who it belonged to, what was done, what was about to be done...my brother and I just basically walked around with out mouths open...drooling.

My car...well...Bubba has certainly had his hand in it, and admittedly, I have been bubba a couple times myself. No matter...Stan was able to get my car back on the road...I even have an inspection sticker!

I know this isn't the kind of stuff that his shop usually does, but he helped get a vette back on the road so that it can be enjoyed.

I owe him a huge thanks for that. Hope to see some of you vette guys out this summer, I will be the one with a huge smile on my face in a green 68 convertible

Oh...on the way home...I got to do the wave. Been quite some time since I could do that.

Thanks Stan!

From his posts on the forum I'd say he's not a only a straight shooter but willing to help and share knowledge. He also sets a standard as a supporting vendor (as do many others in the C3 forum) for playing fair. The C5/C6 supporting vendors are quite different. It's every man, women, and child for themselves!

Way to go Stan. And enjoy your 68.
