I would ask the guy to get a loan from a bank,That way if anything fishy is going on its between the loaning bank and the buyer not you at all.

Glad to see you're heading in the right direction. Painful enough to sell the Vette, you sure don't need to be ripped off in the process. I'm certain your bank will have the answers you need for appropriate fund transfers from overseas. Good luck to you!
