Ditto here. Had my 63 top-flight two years ago. I think some cars are worth the expense and effort of putting back to "Typical Factory Production" and others are meant to be modded in any way one wants.
36398 i joined about 8 years ago to get the driveline it is a great parts book that comes out about 4 times a year there are tons of original parts available for sale i did a 61 been driving it about 6 years now just finished my 72 coupealso bought a ton of parts there for it , anyone knows that original parts fit and last a lot better than repo's any day,it is alo a lot cheaper to buy original than new repo;s, not an ncrs nut, just trying to get the right parts
NCRS #48167. I us both forums--as someone said if you need very technical info and are trying to keep your car original use NCRS. I want to keep my car as original as possible excluding shocks, tires, and magnaflows and will probably get the car judged someday--just to see how close I am. All the people on both sites are very helpful.
I've been a member for over 30 years now (I think). I still remember when we had a big discussion about letting the '63 to '67 Vettes into the NCRS. A lot of people felt they weren't real Corvettes - right.
