Sweet!! That is what I hope to put in my '62 someday soon!! Any details or wisdom you wish to impart would be appreciated!!!
Make sure you have enough time for it. I don't have any kids and my wife doesn't mind, so I was out there 3 mights a week plus weekends for 4 months. Time plus a lot of research on LS1tech.com.

Sure. I think labor costs would be right around $10 grand though, I'm not really a fast worker.

Hey, I never thought of myself as having "vision."
I just got back from a trip with my "club." It's me, my dad, and two uncles who all have Corvettes. We went to South Haven, MI for lunch. Round trip was about 140 miles. The car ran perfect and we had a great time.

Hey Hotrod, Looks like you got to Captain Lou's on a 30 foot sailboat rather than in a C3! Curious, did you have Miller lite or Bud?
Very happy for you that your maiden 'voyage' was smooth sailing (or running).
and I'll definately second (third/forth?) that wife and kids makes progress on a C3-LS1 conversion like molasis dripping out of a syringe...either that or grounds for the D word....

Yeah, that was the only picture of the place I could find in the interwebz. I had Corona's , which turned out to be a mistake. $4.75 each
Between lunch and most of a tank of gas, "club" meetings are expensive!
A little more driveability progress last night, too. The gas tank is obviously not baffled, so I can't really run below a quarter tank without cutting out around left turns. Last year I installed a separate aluminum cylinder about 6" diameter by 18" between the gas tank and the bulk head to act as a surge tank. The only problem was that I forgot to vent it. : Consequently, it didn't work. I removed the tank and vented it last night so, hopefully, I can go further between fill ups.
