I removed my brake booster in about 45 minutes and that included removing the master and the pin from the pedal rod. Then I took apart the booster to see how it worked.
If the brake booster replacement is so hard, I guess I am lucky I have non-power brakes. However,I have worked on or replaced everything else.
The key is a couple long extensions, a deep wall, a U-joint, and it helps to take out the seat. No BS.
All i know is that on my 78 I could get to 3 of the nuts on teh booster, the 4th I could neither see nor touch..and its fairly hard to hook up to an invisible untouchable nut with any number of extensions, wobbles, u-joints etc...
So yeah I gave up and painted the thing in place..
I think it may vary from car to car and how many times bubba has improved your underdash wiring
I especially like what others have said about A/C. "Oh it works fine, it just needs to be charged up" Ok then, charge it up, and call me back when you're serious about selling the car. The other one is how everyone thinks I must be made of money since I own a Vette. I tell them their Accord or Camry they pay on monthly cost at least 3 times as much as my Vette, so they must have a lot more money than me!
I can't tell you how many times i've heard that BS - always with a personal been there done that story to go along with it. Not true - never has been! I have the timing slips to prove it. 173 and change! and completely stable and well mannered!

I just installed a clutch pedal so I know what you mean!!! But, now that I have done it once, the next time would be easy. That is what a lot of these guys are not saying. None of this stuff is really hard the second time once you learn the tricks. Why do you think mechanics can write up 60 or more labor hours in a 40 hour week!!
