Or has everyone gotten their **** together. I seems that the number of posts have dropped noticably. Not too many folk asking the same number of Q's as when I joined about 3-4 years ago. I'm thinking eveyone have either got their rides figured out OR we're dropping in membership.
I'll bet old man gasoline has played into it some. Some people on the "fringe" of the hobby, see where it is costing them too much will dump the car and move on. Nothing wrong with that I guess as I bet priorities for a lot of people are going to change if fuel gets too high. It's a fact of life. Young kids with small families will be affected more than guys like me who are almost at the end of working for a living. I can't say I would never sell mine, but I would like to enjoy it a little bit before 10 bucks a gallon hits.
I'm new so I could be way off-base but there are so many old threads, with so much valuable information, that I am able to get most of my answers without having to start a new thread. Either way, the people on this forum have already helped me tremendously!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:

Hi all!
I've always wanted a Corvette. My neighbor has a 1979 that has been parked in his driveway since I was a kid. After all these years he's decided to sell it. How much do you think it's worth and do you think it'll need much work??? I'm looking for a daily driver and not very mechanically inclined. Is labor cheap? What kind of gas mileage should I expect? I hear these are good investments too! What do you think it'll be worth in 20 years? I'd post some pics up here but can't figure out how. Could somebody help me get pictures loaded? By the way, what's a better year...A 79 or a 68??? My other neighbor has a 68 BB for like $5K! Is that a good deal?????
A '68 BB is a very good deal...if the car isn't 'trashed' or rusted out badly. You can't buy a "parts car" for that kind of money. Go look it over, take some pics of the engine, interior and frame area inside the rear wheel and post them (when you figure out how). We'll give you are 'assessment'. Does it run at present? If not, have the owner give a description of the car's condition and lay it on us.
Posting pics is not that hard, just upload them on photobucket and paste the links into your post. DB put up a paper on it some time ago and I downloaded a copy. I'll send it over to you.
Once you get it figured out, start a new thread about the BB car and you'll have more opinons than you can shake a stick at.

What ya'll think?
Lots of old timers don't come here any more. Exodus started around 2005. We still keep in contact though. Years ago you could point out when someone was giving wrong info, not now.
You'll notice a lot of noobies (2005+) now posting.

Most forums have policies. We can participate if we want to but we have to follow the rules. The current owner of a site determines and enforces the rules. If a member does not like the rules or how they are enforced, the member will go away one way or another. That is about all there is to it.

I just realized that I ain't no nooby anymore! It official!
As for posts, I recall having the same conversation with gator79 last summer. There are several things that cause traffic on here to lighten up. Vacations, winter projects are finished and folks are out driving and down here its getting too darn hot and muggy.
We can all be thankful for new members that find the search button, but you can bet the ones that haven't will be back.
