i can;t believe some people , i finnished my 72 coupe for my wife ,it was done approximtly 2 weeks and some p...o...s.came into the yard and stole the trim rings off the car, they didn;t cost a lot but now i have to put aftermaket real cheepies on till the swapmeets start again and i can put togehter another set, i guess i;ll have to sleep with the shotgun and stop feeding my 150lb rottie till the criminal is caught and hopefully tortured , i contacted the police to fill out a report so they can watch for activity arround the neighborhood
That sucks man. What's really bad is the trim rings were probably stolen by a Vette owner. What sucks even more is he may be a member here, and is reading this very thread.
Thats bites. That hits to close to home being I'm in north bellmore. Pm with any detailed from your neighbors and I will let you know. Check local shows Ebay Etc.... Bellmore train station show every friday night worth checking out IMO
Rally wheels have become more popular on other GM cars as well. Could now be on a Chevelle or ? Really sucks someone touched your ride. Time for a good alarm system. Maybe one with a proximity sensor.
have to build a bigger garage as the 61 is in the one car i have, the 72 is in the driveway under the senser lights and has the vidio camera pointing at it ,regretfully the crime took place during the storm last night so i couldn;t get good pictures of the vandals
Throw up a camera. A friend of mine had someone come into his yard and spray paint his rear lights, twice. don't ask me why. He through up a camera on the peak of his garage, adds security to the block, no more trouble.

Yep. My first car was a '77 Monte Carlo and it happened all the time. Another reason I'm liking my '80's aluminum wheels.

I dont think any members on here would steal from another vette owner or steal at all for that matter. I think they are all respectable.
I guess you're lucky in a sense since they didn't key it up and steal the whole car. I'd look for a secure garage. A friend had his 72 Chevelle SS chained the the garage floor and locked tight. It was stolen overnight years ago.
Sorry. A few years ago I had center caps and trim rings taken off my
'69 Camero and '72 Monte Carlo the same night. Really sucks. Problem was, I think I know who took them, but couldn't prove it. My vette stays in the garage when I'm not in it.
