Lots of others as well. Mostly classic rock with an emphasis on southern and blues based rock. In the daily driver, been listening a lot to Top Tracks and Big Tracks on XM.

Any blues based or southern rock based classic rock especially. Also throw in some country from time to time. Since I've got a pretty good system in my car with a big subwoofer, I'll crank up some hip hop only at a stoplight if I pull up to some punk blasting that crap, just to tick them off. I love to see the expression on their face when my old hot rod can drown out their new rice rocket.

First and foremost, companions and engine.

Music elsewhere includes aforementioned, plus AC/DC live at Donington (1991).

First, the set-up: nice spring nite, t-tops off, dark divided highway, speed at 65mph....

L.A. Woman by The Doors, especially the first half of the song. It just fits like a glove.

Other notables:
  • Ace of Spades - Motorhead
  • Bullet The Blue Sky - U2
  • Crossroads live - alternate version - Lynyrd Skynyrd from One More From The Road album
  • Plush - Stone Temple Pilots
  • and most definitely: The Song Remains The Same titletrack - ZEP !

Entombed
Kyuss
SLAYER
The Tea Party
Zakk Wylde
Ill Nino
Breed 77

Hmm, need to get the Vette back from the body shop!!!!

Lots of good stuff, but I've always been a progressive cutting edge type as far as my music tastes. I listen to KCRW on line from Santa Monica Ca. Some amazing stuff. Here's some of what just makes me want to chair dance while cruising and push the pedal down:
Supreme Beings Of Leisure
Charles Webster
Chemical Brothers
Groove Armada
Underworld
Kraak & Smaak
Lisa Shaw
Kevin Yost
Morgan Page
Sasha
Way Out West
Mark Farina
Layo & Bushwacka
Carmen Rizzo
Just to name a few.
Those who know this type of stuff will be familiar with these bands.

I used to listen to Dragonforce, but that got me too fired up and Ive banned myself from listening to it in the Vette, now its mainly Disturbed, Manson, Top Petty, or some local bands here in Joplin

if you havent heard Dragonforce, give it a try, its far to epic for driving music though
