Toying with the idea of tidying up the engine some, and wire looms are something I haven't gotten around to yet. I'm thinking of something that keeps them vertical, and parallel to the valve covers, but would like to see whatever you guys have, and if any opinions, pro's and cons.
I have a solid cam. so valve covers need to come off easy for lashing.
This is how I loomed the wires for Curt's new Vortec 355.
What brand is this one? If you have a better pic, love to see it.
This is the current wire pile.
Gordanm,
I got a tank of water last week,so I know how you must feel. Ran great, filled up with $75 worth of gas, and I barely made it to work. I put a can of dry gas in at lunch just to make it home.
New tank runs like King Kong again.

I am about done with this tank of crappy fuel. Just trying to burn it off. At $4.30+ a gallon it hurts to just burn it off. Hopefully the next $75 will be better.
I was origanaly thinking the vertcal looms would give more clearance around the power brake booster and heater box on the firewall, but seeing some of the horizontal versions makes me re consider.
My concern is not only looking sweet, but still being able to wrench on the engine with ease,as I'm almost always tweaking something. Any feedback would be great.

Not sure of the brand, but they are from Summit, pricey model, and they are for a center bolt valve cover. However, with a Crossfire cap, universal cut to fit wires, and looms, you can make things VERY tidy.
Out of sight out of mind on both the BB and SB. Easy to work on and a clean engine bay without those unsightly wires all over as if one didnt know what to do with them...
Actually the stock location for the SB
BB engine wires normally go over the top of the valce covers and are always in the way. Down the back and up from undernearhn similar or like a SB using 90 degree plug boots provides great clearance with the headers and wires.
