Default Front Grill Mount Bracket Question

So my driver's side grill just about fell out on me. Lucky for me one screw was holding it on, barely. All the u-nuts and screws were gone. I've been searching every catolog known to man and I can't find these aluminum brackets. Mine work, but look like they have seen better days. Here's some pics of the parts.

Seems easy enough to fab, but wouldn't mind buying some also.

I just replaced these brackets on my 72. On it they are steel and mount from the bumperette only an inch or so from the grill hole. For an example look in the Paragon catalogue, page98 detail "A" part 2152k.
Hope this helps.

I think I may need another part to work with these because I can't figure out where these go. If I attach it to the bumper bolt then I'm off like 90 degrees from the grill location. If somebody can take a quick photograph so I can see how it's supposed to be that would be great.

platzie,

The part you need to attach the R & L grilles comes off of the L & R bumperettes. Paragons 2152K & 2153K. These consist of a screw, a small bracket and a clip.

Be sure that the bumperettes still have the inner guts that these brackets can attach to.

Those parts you're showing are not correct. I don't know what they were used for?

A body shop made those brackets. It was in a accident befoer my Mom bought it. Took them to court and got a new frame out of the deal. Some minor bubba work went on after that.

I have those two parts, but I think I need the other bracket 3469 & 3470 and bolt 8711K. That shou8ld be holding the bumper on though right? This can of worms may wait till winter...

No those parts 3469, 3470 are for mounting the bottom of the bumperette to the frame crossmember. If you run your fingers inside the bumperette you should find a flange about half way up and the parts I mentioned bolt to it and to the grill. I tried to get a picture tonight but my daughter seems to have lost the download cord for the camera. If I find the cord I'll put on some pics.

Rotten pic I know, Hard to get the camera up in there. I circled the bracket and you can just see the chrome of the bumperette flange it is mounted to at its top. Hope this helps.

Are you looking from up top through the hood or from below? Or did you take your grill out and then take the picture. Thanks for the effort. I'll try and find the area you described. Bottom line: I NEED TO BUY A ASSEMBLY MANUAL!!!
