gauge lites
how do i get to the bulbs behind the l/s of the tac ,on the spedo i was able to reach behind gauge but tac is a lot tighter do i have to take top of dash off,or drop steering column

I take all the screws out of the speedo-tach side of dash,all the screws holding the center cluster to the dash(top and both sides-not the bolts under the radio)and the screws holding the right side of dash to the upper dash,leave the ones on the inside of right door.Remove the small tunnel piece under the radio on drivers side.Then remove the 2 bolts holding column up and let it hang.Push the left side of the dash up gently and slide the tach-speedo side of the dash out a little-this should be enough room to get to them.
I have a power screwdriver so it only takes a min. to remove a bunch of screws but the more you remove the more flexible everything becomes.

thanks i will try that, a few weeks ago i was able to get the wiper vacumn soloniod unbolted from the tac it wasn,t that easy but was do able i guess i just have to not be in a hurry,thanks for the help
