With engine off, headlamps on, a warning lamp should come on with the headlamp doors in the down position. It would be vacuum operated.

Yes, 68-82. Should be one on each headlamp mechanism, black plastic with a rubber collared button, indicates when lights are up by indicator on center console.

There are micro switches mounted so that when the lights are in the full upright position the switches are depressed. During the time it takes for the lights to rise to the full up position the dash light should come on and then go off once the lights are locked up.

Yes, there are wires for the switches.

I think his question is at what year did they stop putting these switches on.

Look in the Paragone Catalog .One of the parts books show the switches and where they are located.

thanks for the response. my car does not have these wires.I was just wondering if my 75 had it or not. Its possible the previous owner took them out. I guess Im just looking for one wire (white/green). Anyone know if you can just buy the connectors or do you have to buy the entire harness?

Your '75 should have the wires. They should be part of the harness running the bulbs. On my '75 that is where they are. It is actually a 2 wire setup to the plug. You might have a later harness in that car?
