On the engine the numbers will be on a pad in front of the passenger side cylinder head. If it's a 4 spd, the number will be on a pad up high on the passenger side of the trans. I don't know where the # would be if it's an auto. The last 5 of your VIN should appear in the # stamped on both pads.

Your pad will be similar. Large character number is the engine assembly date and identification suffix. Smaller character numbers are the VIN derivative. Pad is on the block at the front of the right head.
