my brother took his 73 to the body shop, they told him the "skeleton frame" was too far gone and the car was a lost cause. any feedback?
never heard of the "skeleton frame". the actual frame of the car is fresh and is now a rolling chasis. i don't think the car is a right off.
I never heard of that term before. It could be that was their terminology for the birdcage. It could resemble the skeleton of a car with the fiberglass removed.

Reason: spelling
I would bet that they are referring to the birdcage or the steel cage that surrounds the passenger compartment. It is very labor intensive to repair rust damage.
