Default Side pipes or no??

I've got a 69 350 and I'm considering adding side pipes. not sure which ones to go with I know the ones shown on the op's car look great but i've been told it will cost like 2 grand to add them on my car so I'm thinking of going with the original style pipes which still look good and are a lot cheaper. my mechanic told me like $250 with install. Then again the car didnt originally come with pipes so Im not sure. My plan is to drive the car for a while and sell it in a few months. Any suggestions would help. thanks.

I like my hooker sidepipes on my '69. Although based on your post, it sounds like you are just turning the car so I can't comment on the best thing to do for a profit. I am building my car for me.... to drive and enjoy. You appear to have different motives.

Good luck

Tom

'69 factory exhaust will cost about $3,000 not $250.

Im putting the 69 factory exhaust on mine even though it does cost $3000. I have been saving my change in a big water bottle for years, couldnt imagine a better use for it. Doesnt feel like youre spending 3k that way.

If you plan on selling the car in a few months, you might as well leave it alone. Why spend money you may not recover?

Don't forget, if you go the side pipe route you have to deal with a close out panel at the rear to fill in the factory exhaust tip opening. More cash!!
