Hard to tell from that picture? How much wheel stud is sticking out to use an acorn nut, or do you need to use a lug nut with a long shank on it?is the seat tapered where the wheel nuts hit?

original nuts for rally wheels on my 1969 Corvette.
I think it would be better to use special nuts for alloy wheels because they seem to be a little small ?

Well as long as you can torque them up that will work there is enough sticking through the nut. At the same time it looks like you can use a nut with a large shoulder on it as well. Best thing take that wheel to a decent tire shop and wee what they have for chrome lug nuts. Get the correct nut that wont back off.
