Installed a Windjammer Today
Only running the p-can 94 myself, car really doesn't seem to like anything else. (wish I left the compression back at 8.5 grumble grumble)
Carb still needs some work, seriously thinking of sending it to Lars next winter for a total exorcism.
Otherwise everything seems to be working well (which makes last winters work seem worth it)
All the best

Then I got the brilliant idea of replacing the $2.00 Q-Jet fuel filter as a precaution. Well, three hours later I was not able to stop a modest but persistent fuel leak at the fittings. It must have been there before as I noticed some non-oil staining on the intake. And once in awhile I recall a fuel smell when driving in the city. Before getting out the Lars hammer option yesterday I just let the car be. I have my moments...and can fix things until they don't work.
This morning things did not go much better so I brought out Plan B that I used with a similar situation on a new (and weepy) fuel pump fitting last summer: Permatex High-temp Thread Sealer. This is not teflon or RTV that can drift into the Q-Jet but a fuel-resistant paste applied carefully on the outer 1/3 or so of threads on the male components. Fire up the engine and let sit for several hours for it to set. That seems to have worked. No job is simple on these cars.
So you are driving! This is not O/T but we do need pics.
