8 Hole Luggage Rack
Hi Folks
I'm looking for opinions on the usefulness of a luggage rack for carrying t-tops. With all the changes in the cargo area of my 76, the t-tops dont fit anymore. I know there is a system for 8 hole racks that will carry t-tops (sort of a bracket/strap combo). My concern is:
1. the strap will marr the paint, and
2. the brackets wont actually be sturdy enough to hold the tops on the car.
Opinions?

I have had my t tops on the luggage rack for most of the 15 summers I have owned my car. Never a problem they are very secure on the rack with the stock brackets and strap. Yes the strap will mar the paint slightly. You could probably put a soft cloth under the strap and prevent any slight damage to the paint. Chuck
