Urgent! Tips needed for first autocross
I have never tried autocross, but the price is right and I'm going to be there anyway. Our son and his friends only think about straight line acceleration, but they see my '80 Corvette differently and are encouraging me to try out the course.
It's too late to make major changes to my setup (front monospring or alignment), but I'm open to driving tips. If it helps, I have a GM Performance 350/330 HO crate engine, stock 4-speed with Hurst shifter, stock rear end, Ghymkana-equivalent spring rates, gas charged shocks, Steeroids, and 255/60-15 tires @ 32 psi on stock aluminum slotted wheels.
Tips for a rookie?
