My cross member is dented (possibly by a floor jack?)
Anyway to repair this ?
Thanks
I have seen a few guys that have used a grinder to cut of the dented plate, and they either pound the old plate back out or they replace it with a new fabricated plate. I don't know if anyone makes them or not.
There is a crossmember dent removal kit I have seen that goes in from the side and knocks the dents out. You have to remove the front coil springs to get it in from both sides though.
CF member Greg had a dent removal tool that I used - worked pretty good, cost to use was only about $28 or so. Saved from buying a tool for $150+ that you only use once....

70,
I talked to the fellow ,Terry, who makes the cross-member dent removal tool. He's a nice guy and the tool works. Maybe a year ago there was one that was being sent from member to member.
I think the spring on just 1 side needs to come off in order to get the tool in position inside the cross member.
