Took a few pictures today after reassembly. I prep'ed my C3 (removed bumpers, mirrors, side windows, door handles/locks, and sanded, sanded some more, and more.......) and took it into a shop to do final body work and repaint (didn't want to paint it myself and have my first time novice paint result after all this work the past few years!).
Found a great shop locally, good price, and had them put on tri-coat crystal red metallic (08 vette paint also on the special edition '08 427 Z06). I am happy with the end result
Car looks great. I do have a question though. Why didn't you paint the bump ***** on each side of the license plate on your bumper black? Is it the same way on the back?

Wow - forgot about this thread - back from the past!
Hey - thanks to you all for the nice comments, I really appreciate them! I am enjoying driving it more now with the new coat.
75BrownC3 - I am considering painting the front bump '*****' black, didn't provide direction to the shop re the bump ***** and it came back like this. Rear bumper is actually a 81/82 type that I filled in the holes for the 'corvette' trim piece - all smooth and clean, no bump ***** like the stock 79 bumper (also using w/4 LED tail lights w/ a custom licence light/backup light bar - what the heck, the car certainly isn't 'stock' anymore).
I am also keeping in mind a black stripe or two front to back when I tire of the solid color. I did paint my rocker panels black and the black looks good with the CRM.
Josh - can't wait too see your car with new paint....
