Hi-
I have a 70 vert that leaks badly in the rain.
I narrowed the leak down to the rear deck seal.
The weatherstrip seems to be OK, but there are 2 rectangular holes that I assume are for the channel drainage. They fill with water but don't drain. The passenger one does drain, but it seems to send the water over to the driver's side drain and then it overflows in to the car.
Am I correct that they are drains and where should I look for the blockage?
Yes those are drain holes, I believe they drain into the vents on the rear deck. If you take off the grills you should be able to see drain holes in the outside corners. make sure they're not clogged but be careful poking with anything sharp. There is a rubber elbow underneath that is actually inside the car. If you poke a hole it would only be worse. Found some panel adhesive clumps in the passenger side drain on mine.
I took off the rear grills but can't see anything there. There are flaps in the way.
Any other ideas?
Actually, I do see the bottom drain, and it works fine(the vents drain well)
My blockage seems to be between the drains in the rear deck channel and the vents.
I can't see any way to access this area

They drain through a fitting on the rear wall. If you look up between the gas tank & the wall you should be able to see them. Maybe try blowing some air through them backwards. Not much room under there though.
Mine are apart & I removed the flapper doors. The assembly unscrews from the bottom. 6 or 8 phillips head screws for both sides. You'lll probably have some panel adhesive dripped out & holding them as well. Just break it away if you go that route.
