I'm 6/2" and am very comfortable. But I've only had my79 for about a month and haven't drove it with the tops on yet. I have them, I'd just rather go topless.
5'8" if I stretch. I can't imagine how some of you big guys can get in and out. Car feels like the perfect fit for me. Wife won't ride in it as she can't enter or exit gracefully.
6'6'' 250 its a little snug, thank god the foams alittle broken down in the seat. when i take the tops off i look like herman munster with my head sticking up over the windshield, here's the good part my wifes not even 5' tall and she can't reach the pedals
We are a tall bunch around here! Or are the sub-6 people just not responding?
I am 6'2" and have no problems in my 73. I just had to master sitting down on the seat with my legs out the door, then turning to the right to get in. Normally I put a leg in and then my butt, then the other leg, but in the Vette it's butt first.

I'm 6'4" 285lbs getting in without banging your head takes a little practice, once in I'm snug but comfortable '80 with 4-speed, but as stated earlier the pedals do seem abit close.
The 1962 is the tightest to get into. The hardtop gives a taste more headroom. With the soft-top the center bow is damn close. There's more room with the 1968 and the 1984 is the easiest to get in and out. It`s also the more comfortable Vette..and the slowest...
Well just to represent the sub 6 foot crowd,I've got no issues fitting in mine and my 74 doesn't have tilt-tele and it's a 4 speed, although I do have glass tops. I'm 5' 16", 210lb. Haven't tried a helmet on but maybe I should the way I drive.
By the way, do any of you have or tried aftermarket seats??
Just installed a Corbeau CR1, it would be perfect fo you. had to shave the foam 1" or so for me, I'm 6', 190, the stock seat height with thier brackets would be perfect for 5.6. btw, the CR1s fit the Vette's just fine, Corbeau thought I might have a problem, but they fit just like stock. I'm gonna post about it soon,, stay tuned...

It just goes to show, some people will give up comfort for style. :-)
My Dad used to tell me, "It don't matter how fast you get there, it's what you look like when you arrive".

I have to agree, guys who arrive in vettes look the best
Putting in racing buckets and a smaller diameter steering wheel helps too. I'm 6'4" 230 and have about 2-3 inches of clearance to the roof with sparco seats. Being tall also helps me clear the sidepipes when i get out
OK, I've seen where the 6' plus guy's wish they had tilt steering wheel. My question is I'm 6'2" and I have power windows, & I cant imagine driving down the road and trying to roll down the drivers window with the hand crank.
Any comments?
The height issue comes up frequently with most any car. What surprises me is that more folks don't realize there's more to it than total height!
Torso length DOES make a difference. If your legs are long but with a short torso, then the question is leg room. If you've got a long/tall torso, then the issue is headroom.
The elbow to the windshield is a good suggestion I use regularly. Bear in mind, in addition to the 'vette I drive an MGB, Spitfire, and a Classic Mini. Big frame, 6'2", long torso. It's all in technique...

6'4" 220-30, 34" inseam, 37" sleave. I caused quite the radio traffic during a cruse to a show when I stuck my arms out BOTH side windows taking a strech at a stop (I was driving alone).
The Conn. State Police asked me to park the car at LRP because my helmet stuck up an inch over the sail panel (and that was with a Recaro race seat slamed to the floor). /:\
6' 4" 285 lbs. 30" inseam, I fit good with glass roofs but semi headroom challenged with the painted roofs, gota scrunch down a bit, dam pedals are too close together tho, 15 EEE shoe size Peace,,,Moosie
I'm 6'4" 235 with 14 wides. I have the same issue with the pedals, at Durango Boys suggestion I am about to cut the brake pedal down to fit a manual brake pedal pad on it to free up some room between it and the gas pedal. Of course this only helps with an automatic.
